Firefighters responded to reports of a fire at the Westgate early Tuesday morning. The fire was called in just before 5 a.m. to the hotel-casino at 3000 Paradise Road. When firefighters arrived they found “smoldering trash” in a kitchen, according to Clark County Fire Department Deputy Chief Jeff Buchanan.
Crash on Rampart near Hillpointe that's a sedan sitting on it's roof in the median. Metro is reporting injuries, but no word yet on how severe.
Police are on the scene of an incident near St. Rose Parkway and Spencer. According to scanner traffic, there may have been a robbery at a gas station. A clerk may have also been beaten.

Troopers identified the California couple killed in a motorcycle crash Friday night west of Mountain Springs. They were Bill Dinh, 65, and Mary Nguyen, 64, both of Garden Grove, California, Nevada Highway Patrol spokesman Jason Buratczuk said.

A suspect is facing two murder charges in connection with the December shooting deaths of a homeless man and woman. Alfred Windhelm, 53, and Rhonda Ballow, 27, were found dead Dec. 27 behind a business in the central valley, where they had set up a camp in a loading dock area.

A 17-year-old boy died overnight Saturday after he was shot sitting behind the wheel of a white pickup, North Las Vegas police said. Police spokesman Eric Leavitt said the boy was shot while waiting at a stoplight on Civic Center Drive near Cheyenne Avenue. Police found him in the pickup, which had crashed into a tree in the median near Evans Avenue.

A report of a pipebomb at 2201 Constance Avenue, near Simmons Street and Carey Avenue around 1 a.m. caused police to show up to home. Upon arrival, police found an item they believe was a bomb but it has since been rendered safe. People were evacuated during the investigation.

One person is dead after a car crashed into a double-decker RTC bus Wednesday night. It happened on eastbound Flamingo Road and the U.S. 95. Nevada Highway Patrol reported the driver of a Honda died after it hit a double-decker RTC bus but the 11 passengers on the bus were unharmed.
