Las Vegas: police are investigating a Monday morning homicide at an apartment complex in the central valley. Police responded about 12:45 a.m. to reports of a man suffering multiple gunshot wounds at an apartment complex on the 3600 block of Villa Knolls North Drive, near Tropicana Avenue and Pecos Road, according to Metropolitan Police Lt. David Gordon.

Authorities say Reno firefighters investigating a possible gas leak came face to face with a gun. Reno police say firefighters were called Saturday shortly before noon about a gas leak coming from inside an apartment. Upon approach, 48-year-old Michael Whiteford opened the door and pointed a firearm at two of the firefighters. Police say Whiteford then immediately shut the door.

One person has been taken to a hospital after a shooting was reported late Monday night just off Kietzke Lane in Reno, according to police. Officers received a report of shots fired and one victim with a gunshot wound to the leg just after 11:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 12, in the area of the 2800 block of Kietzke Lane, south of Plumb Lane.
Las Vegas: Metro Police investigated a homicide in the southeast valley Monday night. It happened in the 4600 block of Vegas Valley Drive near Vegas Valley and S. Lamb Boulevard. According to officers, the victim was in his home when a person came in and shot him. The victim jumped from the second-story balcony to escape, but was shot again.
North Las Vegas: Police are piecing together an overnight crime scene where a person was shot and killed. Officers were called to UMC Hospital shortly after 10 p.m. with reports of an 18-year-old woman suffering from a gunshot wound. She was later pronounced deceased. Police said a 24-year-old man took her to the hospital

Las Vegas police have arrested a suspect in connection with a deadly Friday night shooting at a northwest valley storage facility. County booking logs and jail records show 60-year-old Martin Addington Maycock was taken into custody Saturday. He faces one count of murder with a deadly weapon.

Las Vegas: police are investigating a deadly shooting in the heart of downtown early Wednesday morning. Officers were called to the 200 block of Fremont Street, near Casino Center Boulevard, at about 2:20 a.m. with reports of a shooting. Metro said shots were fired at that location with a man shot and killed in the incident.
