Man killed when car crashes into parked semi truck in east valley
A person has been hit by a vehicle near Lake Mead Boulevard and Michael Way. The person was conscious after the crash. Road closures are in effect
The 73-year-old man found dead in an east Las Vegas trailer in March was wrapped in plastic in his bedroom closet, court documents show. A private investigator hired by the man’s family smelled a “foul odor” coming from his mobile home on March 8 at 3001 Cabana Drive, near East Vegas Valley Drive and South Nellis Boulevard, according to an arrest warrant released Tuesday. Police discovered a decomposing body wrapped in plastic bags.
A suspect in a barricade situation that started late Sunday night had been bitten by a police K9 and taken into custody Monday morning. Lt. David Gordon said officers responded to a report of an argument between two men at a home in the 1900 block of Pasadena Boulevard, near Lake Mead Boulevard and Christy Lane in the northeast valley, just after 11:15 p.m.
Authorities are investigating a deadly shooting reported Sunday night in the east valley. Lt. David Gordon with Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department said the shooting was reported just after 8:30 p.m. in the 4800 block of Boulder Highway, near Flamingo Road.

Joel Serrano, 35, was booked Wednesday into the Clark County Detention Center on one count each of open murder and conspiracy to commit murder. As of Thursday morning, no conspirators had been named or charged.

The witness approached the driver of the vehicle and noticed a man suffering from a gun shot wound to the chest, police said.
