Person dies in early morning North Las Vegas shooting

One person has died after a shooting reported Thursday morning in North Las Vegas, according to police.

Investigating a shooting which occurred in the 2500 block of Daley Avenue. One male transported to the hospital and succumbed to his injuries. Please avoid the area

Reno Police are investigating a shooting last night in front of the 7-Eleven on E. Grove Street and Wrondel Way. Shots were fired, following an altercation between two parties. Police said one of the suspects involved may have been driving a black passenger car. No one was hurt during the incident, and police are still searching for the people involved. It is unknown at this time if the altercation was gang related

Around midnight, neighbors came to the rescue of a wheelchair-bound woman who was trapped inside of a burning home near Maryland Parkway and Silverado Ranch Boulevard. Firefighters who arrived at the scene of the fire said the neighbors knew a man and a woman lived inside the burning home and that the woman was bound to a wheelchair. They immediately sprung into action.

The Torrington Volunteer Fire Department responded to a gas leak in the alley north of 23rd Avenue between Main and West A Street around 9:45 this morning.
