A man was taken into custody at a Henderson casino after he was found with his wife’s body in his vehicle late Saturday night, Las Vegas police said. At about 11 p.m. Las Vegas police received a 911 call from a home in the 800 block of Patagonia Ridge Avenue, near Cactus Avenue and Maryland Parkway.
Police detained one person after a shooting in the east Las Vegas Valley on Saturday. Witnesses reported a shooting near Stewart Avenue and Riata Way about 4 p.m. Lt. Patricia Cervantes of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department said one person shot at another and the suspect was detailed by officers. Original reports said there were two shooters.

Las Vegas police are looking for a man involved in a December robbery in the east valley. The suspect entered a business on the 2300 block of Tropicana Avenue, near Eastern Avenue, on Dec. 30 about 7:39 p.m., police said in a press release. The suspect demanded money from an employee and when the employee refused, the suspect reached into his waistband, possibly for a weapon.

A man in his 30s was shot and killed on the 200 block of West New York Avenue, near the Stratosphere Hotel and Casino, according to Metro Police. Police said it happened at or near the apartments there, and was reported at 7:50 p.m. The man suffered gunshot wounds to the chest, and neighbors reported seven or eight shots fired.
A motorcyclist is dead after the bike he was riding and a Honda Civic collided Monday night in west Las Vegas. The crash was reported at 7:37 p.m. and occurred on Spring Mountain Road at Spring Shower Driver, Metro said in a news release. A 36-year-old man from Mount Airy, North Carolina, was heading west on Spring Mountain on a 2006 Harley-Davidson when a 2017 Honda Civic heading east turned left into the path of the motorcycle, according to Metro.
